Follow the observation, not an assumption
Note the trail’s location, time of day and nearby food or moisture. Explain whether activity is confined to one spot or occurs in several rooms. If you have already used a product, keep its name and mention it when speaking with Swift.
Winged insects need identification
Winged ants and termite swarmers can be confused. Their body shape, antennae and wing proportions provide clues, but an uncertain identification should stay uncertain. Describe the insect and where it appeared rather than choosing termite or ant work based only on wings.
Should I request termite treatment for flying ants?
Ask for identification first. A winged insect does not by itself establish a termite concern; include photographs you already have and the location of the sighting.
